Avery's Fall Report Card

The school Avery goes to is required to create a "Child Service Report" on each child in the fall and spring. The fall report is very template-y, but I think we like to read the updates anyway. I received the report today, and here's what it says:

Avery possess age appropriate fine and gross motor skills. (template)
Avery is very bright and seems to enjoy his time in or class. (he does enjoy school) His interests include building, trucks, sand play, puzzles and music.

Then there is blah, blah, blah stuff about Avery that we love to read, but we don't need to reprint here.

BUT,

Here's my favorite quote in the whole report:

Avery is a very social boy and has made many friends in the class. He seems to enjoy playing with Will, Charlie, Miles, and Andrew in particular-and of course, let's not forget his favorite girl, Sophia.

Updates: 1. Avery has learned how to gallop. He calls it skipping, and he has been doing it all around the living room, street, park, store... since yesterday afternoon. Everywhere. 2. A New Food Every Three Days...

If you were to try a new food every three days for about a year, don't you think you'd get to the point where you had to be really creative to find something new? With combinations of ingredients, knowing that you have tried one dish, you would think that you'd exhaust the possibilities. Well, we've been new foods like this for some time now, and every time I go to the grocery or Farmer's Market, I come back with something new for Avery. Ritz crackers were introduced today! Chive cream cheese was on the menu a few days ago. This evening, we combined the two for Ritz cracker and chive cream cheese fiesta. Avery hogged down seven crackers piled high with cream cheese, had a huge piece of extra sharp cheddar, and some berry applesauce. This was all washed down with a huge bottle of organic whole milk, which friend Jeanna says, "tastes like fresh cut grass and ice cream."
