From the Mouths of (Our) Babes

Avery and Finn had so much fun today, celebrating Finn's 9th birthday, that it wiped him out. He spent much of the morning following Finn around at Nan and Popi's, wrestling with him, jumping on him, and simply watching and trying to be like him. Finn was so great with Finn, as he is used to having little guys idolize him (he has many younger cousins---ten boys!). Happy 9th Birthday, cousin & nephew, Finn!

Avery spent some time with cousin Finn and Uncle Eric this weekend. He couldn't stop hugging Finn! He also tried gelato for the first time. Despite his initial reaction, he seemed to really love it. When he was denied more gelato (don't want to overdo the first time), he knew to sit with Popi to beg. Sneaky.

My cousin Finn thinks that I will be most like him when I grow up (he's 8). One reason for this is that he predicts I'll be a reader. He's very insightful, because DO I love books. I especially love eating them. Tonight I noshed on my new Maurice Sendak book, "Mama!" It was spicy and delicious. Thanks, John!

I went cruisin around Philly with Auntie Hopie, Nan and Cousin Finn today. What fun! I love cousin Finny! While mommy went to get some good gym time in, the fam and I went to see the light show (I never tire of that light show!) and to look at some cool art. Then, daddy, mommy and I took a walk around the park at night and we visited the bookstore and had hot chocolate (I had a bottle). Yum!
