From the Mouths of (Our) Babes

Once there was a little baby Dragon. He was flying past the sea. And his mother was bigger.  The superhero came behind him he bashed him and ithe snow went away.   And all went bang! Bang! Bang! It was an earthquake! Stay still.

"When you said I needed to take a shower, you didn't specify that I needed to wash my WHOLE hair,"  Avery, expressing how unfair it was that he needed to bathe.

"Why doesn't anyone let me play video games and eat chocolate pretzels for breakfast on the sofa? Noone cares."   Beckett, expressing his morning grievances.

"I'm a shrimpatarian.   I don't eat shrimp. ". Avery🍤

"Do we have to sleep the whole night?" "Yes." "Oohhhhh...I would've had another hot dog."  Beckett (who else??)

"For the next three months, while Beckett is three,  I will be three times his age."  Avery, on turning 9 today.

Two sausages were sitting in a pan.   One sausage said to the other sausage, "man, it's hot in here!!"   The other sausage said,"whoa!  A talking sausage." Avery Two peas were sitting it a pot. One said to the other, "Is it cold in your pot? It's hot in my pot! And my pot is flipping over."  Beckett

The guessing game.

"When Avery was a kid did he say,'When I grow up I want to be a brother?'?"

"I can see the whole world from here."Beckett

Beckett woke up from a nap and the first thing he said was,"I smell like a ham sandwich.  I want a ham sandwich." Avery said that sometimes when HE is hungry for something, he also smells it.

Avery provided advice while I was choosing an outfit for an important meeting tomorrow: "That looks like you're going running." "You should wear that if you want to look like a little girl." "That looks like you're going to a wedding, too dressy." And finally, "I think we should chose that one."  Done.

Beckett calls them jelly sandwiches with peanut butter.

Avery just said to Beckett "I wish I could see through your eyes "
