Scurues


So all six people who follow our blog have recently asked, "Where have all the photos gone?" We really HAVEN'T been taking so many. And it's not that there are not as many momentous occasions or photo opportunities. Most of the interesting stuff lately DOES seem to be language related, but... Truth is, about two months ago, Walker got a brand new camera, which takes such awesome shots...plus, he borrowed the memory card from one of our our ones---so we were simply taking fewer photos.

I am taking back our camera routine, however, starting NOW...

Walker and Avery are building something right now, and Avery is helping find the "screws"....which he calls "scuruuuues".

Updates: 1. Avery has learned how to gallop. He calls it skipping, and he has been doing it all around the living room, street, park, store... since yesterday afternoon. Everywhere. 2. Avery asked Walker, "What alphabet does your name begin with?" 3. I asked Avery what we are going to do tomorrow, and he said, "We are going to get some hay and ride on a pumpkin!" A New Food Every Three Days...

If you were to try a new food every three days for about a year, don't you think you'd get to the point where you had to be really creative to find something new? With combinations of ingredients, knowing that you have tried one dish, you would think that you'd exhaust the possibilities. Well, we've been new foods like this for some time now, and every time I go to the grocery or Farmer's Market, I come back with something new for Avery. Ritz crackers were introduced today! Chive cream cheese was on the menu a few days ago. This evening, we combined the two for Ritz cracker and chive cream cheese fiesta. Avery hogged down seven crackers piled high with cream cheese, had a huge piece of extra sharp cheddar, and some berry applesauce. This was all washed down with a huge bottle of organic whole milk, which friend Jeanna says, "tastes like fresh cut grass and ice cream."
