multiple meanings

In the car this evening, Avery announced, "There are two kinds of "WINES". There is the wine that you drink, and the wine/whine that you do in the car."

Also, he reported, "Mommy, I am recognizing all of the A's all around. There's an A. There's another A. There's an A. There are A's all around." I love that he used the word 'recognizing' to announce that he knows a letter of the alphabet.

Now why, oh, why can't he get potty trained once and for all? Seriously, the kid is going to be reading before he uses the toilet.

Ok...so last night I was reading about potty training since Lucas seems to want to do it but then just randomly pees all over. The books said let him take the lead and one gave the story of parents who were wondering if their son would read or be potty trained first since he was taking soooo long to be potty trained. Well the day he sat on the toilet he picked up the toilet paper wrapper and said what's cha-r-min....funny. Well at leas we are in the same boat. Craig and I were thinking of aborting the potty plans for now but I decided we are going to let Lucas decide what he wants to wear everyday. I guess we can know they won't got to college in diapers, even though it seems like they will!!
