Train Naming Ceremony


Avery named all of his trains this morning. He asked Walker to write the names on the bottom of the trains. Unfortunately, we didn't have the right kind of pens, so we have to wait for the official train naming ceremony, which might happen tonight.

Some names chosen were:
Tiny
Fred
Cesar

This was inspired by some of the Thomas trains Sashee got him, which have their names printed on the bottom. Avery is starting to realize that letters mean something.

Oh, and he can read his new car pajamas! He can tell the difference between:

Beep Beep
Toot Toot
Vrmmmmmmm

And can read those three things, on his pjs, if you ask him. They might have just been lucky guesses so far, but he's gotten them all right!

Updates: 1. Avery has learned how to gallop. He calls it skipping, and he has been doing it all around the living room, street, park, store... since yesterday afternoon. Everywhere. 2. A New Food Every Three Days...

If you were to try a new food every three days for about a year, don't you think you'd get to the point where you had to be really creative to find something new? With combinations of ingredients, knowing that you have tried one dish, you would think that you'd exhaust the possibilities. Well, we've been new foods like this for some time now, and every time I go to the grocery or Farmer's Market, I come back with something new for Avery. Ritz crackers were introduced today! Chive cream cheese was on the menu a few days ago. This evening, we combined the two for Ritz cracker and chive cream cheese fiesta. Avery hogged down seven crackers piled high with cream cheese, had a huge piece of extra sharp cheddar, and some berry applesauce. This was all washed down with a huge bottle of organic whole milk, which friend Jeanna says, "tastes like fresh cut grass and ice cream."
