Helping Daaaahdeeeeeee

We're doing some mini projects around the house, and Avery loves helping. He loves it even more than yogurt covered raisins.

First, Daddy asked Avery to bring him the measuring tape:


Then, he was asked to help by stepping on the end to measure the distance to cut the screens for the kitchen door:


The bending tape was WAY more interesting than expected, and stepping on it was NOT:


Measuring on the floor was the step (strategy):




Phew, Avery needed to stop for a cookie break (IKEA Ginger Snaps---less sugar than most cookies and Avery loves them). Note: there was a clothing change here due to some unexpected juice spillage.:



And I completely forgot our blogiversary! We've had this blog for more than a year now---wow.

Updates: 1. Avery has learned how to gallop. He calls it skipping, and he has been doing it all around the living room, street, park, store... since yesterday afternoon. Everywhere. 2. Avery asked Walker, "What alphabet does your name begin with?" 3. I asked Avery what we are going to do tomorrow, and he said, "We are going to get some hay and ride on a pumpkin!" A New Food Every Three Days...

If you were to try a new food every three days for about a year, don't you think you'd get to the point where you had to be really creative to find something new? With combinations of ingredients, knowing that you have tried one dish, you would think that you'd exhaust the possibilities. Well, we've been new foods like this for some time now, and every time I go to the grocery or Farmer's Market, I come back with something new for Avery. Ritz crackers were introduced today! Chive cream cheese was on the menu a few days ago. This evening, we combined the two for Ritz cracker and chive cream cheese fiesta. Avery hogged down seven crackers piled high with cream cheese, had a huge piece of extra sharp cheddar, and some berry applesauce. This was all washed down with a huge bottle of organic whole milk, which friend Jeanna says, "tastes like fresh cut grass and ice cream."
