Pillow Diving






One of Avery's favorite games is Pillow Diving. In our old house, after bathtime, I used to bring Avery to our bed to get changed into Pjs and ready to go to sleep. He'd always have fun diving and playing in the sheets. This is actually one of the reasons for his first real injury.

Now that our bedroom is on a whole different level, and Avery has a whole floor to himself, there are not really many opportunities for pillow diving----except at Nan and Popi's. At Nan and Popi's, when he's not stealing sharp objects from Popi's desk, or opening childproof vitamin jars, this is one of Avery's past times. You might even catch him saying, "Peeelo" now, too.

Updates: 1. Avery has learned how to gallop. He calls it skipping, and he has been doing it all around the living room, street, park, store... since yesterday afternoon. Everywhere. 2. A New Food Every Three Days...

If you were to try a new food every three days for about a year, don't you think you'd get to the point where you had to be really creative to find something new? With combinations of ingredients, knowing that you have tried one dish, you would think that you'd exhaust the possibilities. Well, we've been new foods like this for some time now, and every time I go to the grocery or Farmer's Market, I come back with something new for Avery. Ritz crackers were introduced today! Chive cream cheese was on the menu a few days ago. This evening, we combined the two for Ritz cracker and chive cream cheese fiesta. Avery hogged down seven crackers piled high with cream cheese, had a huge piece of extra sharp cheddar, and some berry applesauce. This was all washed down with a huge bottle of organic whole milk, which friend Jeanna says, "tastes like fresh cut grass and ice cream."
