I Got the Whole World In MY Hands



Avery spent time at the playground this weekend with friends and family. He's easily entertained as long as he's outside, so this weather is definitely welcome for many reasons. Avery seems to be partial to the swings, and his nan noticed he "showed no fear", even when swung quite hard by his dad. He also showed some interest when sitting atop the turtle/globe(not sure which one)-like sculpture, though the verdict is still out on that one.

Updates: 1. Avery has learned how to gallop. He calls it skipping, and he has been doing it all around the living room, street, park, store... since yesterday afternoon. Everywhere. 2. Avery asked Walker, "What alphabet does your name begin with?" 3. I asked Avery what we are going to do tomorrow, and he said, "We are going to get some hay and ride on a pumpkin!" A New Food Every Three Days...

If you were to try a new food every three days for about a year, don't you think you'd get to the point where you had to be really creative to find something new? With combinations of ingredients, knowing that you have tried one dish, you would think that you'd exhaust the possibilities. Well, we've been new foods like this for some time now, and every time I go to the grocery or Farmer's Market, I come back with something new for Avery. Ritz crackers were introduced today! Chive cream cheese was on the menu a few days ago. This evening, we combined the two for Ritz cracker and chive cream cheese fiesta. Avery hogged down seven crackers piled high with cream cheese, had a huge piece of extra sharp cheddar, and some berry applesauce. This was all washed down with a huge bottle of organic whole milk, which friend Jeanna says, "tastes like fresh cut grass and ice cream."
